Baloo Films is a Brazilian production company founded in 2016 by Wadih Elkadi. The production company was conceived in 2002, when Wadih Elkadi started showing Japanese animation with a fansub from Goiás called TNNAC.
From 2016 to 2020, Baloo Films distributed projects to Brazilian TV channels, including ESPN, Canal Futura and TV Cultura. In 2020 and 2021, it co-produced the fictional educational series Farol Sagres for TV Sagres. Two seasons were produced, with a total of 160 8-minute episodes. In 2023 he was invited to produce the 6th edition of Lanterna Mágica - International Animation Festival.
With a new visual identity and new objectives, Baloo Films is looking for national and international partners to co-produce its productions. We're looking for projects that dialogue with a universal narrative in which the main element is the feeling of belonging.
That of putting yourself in the other person's shoes and, from the observer's point of view, feeling part of that experience.
